Bus Numbers!

When traveling and from competition, it is important to not forget anyone along the way. FIRST Team 1305 uses “bus numbers” to ensure that everyone is on the bus. Each team member is assigned a number. These numbers and associated individuals are written down on a price of paper and kept by a mentor. Once on the bus, the individuals assigned with the number “1” shouts their number, then the second individual shouts “2”, and so on and so forth until everyone has said their number. In the case that a number is not called, it is know to everyone that a person is missing. This person can be identified by looking at the paper with the names and associated numbers.

We belong in FIRST!

1305 has partnered with Compass Music Academy and singer/songwriter Holly Cunningham to create a new song called “We Belong in FIRST”. We are challenging other teams to send us a video of their members singing the song. Here is a link to the Youtube video should you wish to accept our challenge: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBxHZkz9K54

What are you doing to improve?

We started adding camera tracking at our second competition but ultimately did not implement it. Now we have camera tracking ready to go for provincial championships.

NO Unbag Time

Just a reminder that between your last district competition and Ontario District championships. do not unbag your robot until you are at the Ontario district championship and have had a robot inspector "OK" your robot.

Networking

Networking is an amazing tool that you can use to connect with teams, sponsors, partners and pretty much anyone else. Be sure to visit other teams pits at competitions to share knowledge and contact information. You can also host sponsor appreciation nights to thank your sponsors and connect with them. In short, networking can open many doors for your team.
